2017 Photo and Poster Competitions

The competition winners’ photographs were exhibited as part of the festival as public art exhibition across downtown buildings, bridges and in Mahabandoola Park.


Yangon Art and Heritage Festival Photography Competition 2017

The YAHF Photography Competition returns to this year’s festival! Throughout December and January photographers were encouraged to send us their images of Yangon, which represent this year’s theme of ‘Memories, Objects and Spaces’.

Each entry consisted a set of three photographs and in total we received more than 400 images from photographers of all backgrounds, ages and nationalities. The images included photographs by talented Myanmar photographers as well as entries from places as far as Japan, Romania, Germany and Canada.

Every photographer who sent us their work was be featured in a public exhibition in downtown, while winners were exhibited at The Deitta Gallery.

Winners received prizes supported by the festival and Golden Eagle Eye camera shop.

“My Yangon My Home” Art and Heritage Festival invited the students from the National University of Art and Culture to enter to the Second Student Poster Competition. The main objective of the competition is to promote greater understanding and awareness of Yangon’s cultural heritage among culture and art students. The theme for the 2nd edition of the poster competition is: Memories Objects and Spaces.
